PAAD 1.0

PAAD Publisher's Description

Pocket Antenna Analysis and Design (PAAD) is the mobile antenna design resource for your Palm OS handheld. PAAD is comprised of 27 modules, or forms, covering transmission lines, radiating elements and propagation. Each form provides quick "what if" information along with useful CAD design data. Designed to be an extension of your own knowledge, PAAD provides the numbers to support your new ideas. Take it on your next trip, to a design review, use it at your desk, or use it anywhere you need analysis and design information at your fingertips. PAAD features 9 different transmission line forms, 11 different radiating element forms, and 7 different forms covering propagation and common calculations. The data can be entered in either metric or english units. The transmission line and radiating element input data is stored between sessions. There is a limited-functionality 30 day demo version available for evaluation. The demo version may be beamed between handheld devices using IR port. PAAD will run on any Palm OS handheld running version 3.0 or higher (PAAD may also run on earlier Palm OS versions, however this is not guaranteed). System memory of 8 MB is recommended, but it has run on as little as 2 MB. Two files must be installed on your handheld, paad.prc (approximately 280 KB) and mathlib.prc. The independent Mathlib library is freeware and the newest version can be obtained from www.radiks.net/~rhuebner/index.html or many of the palm software websites. If the newest version of Mathlib is already installed, then only paad.prc must be loaded. Follow the instructions provided with your handheld desktop software to "Hotsync" PAAD to you device.
